I've been sitting here for the last couple of hours roaming around reading the interviews, admiring the fantastic pictures and generally feeling in my glory. I am a certified C.A.R.T. fan and and seriously glad I found your site. One last thought, your tribute to Jeff is very touching and tasteful. Although the crashes can sometimes be spectacular, no one but, no one, expects any harm to come to the drivers. It was shocking to witness such an event and it certainly left me saddened to hear that he, and the course worker, died. Tim is an awesome racer and recently won the Skip Barber Midwest Series championship. Look for good things to come from this guy. My favorite racer has to be Greg Moore. A long time ago I was lucky enough to meet him and his father. A couple years ago I called Forsythe Racing and said I was interested in starting a fan club for him. They never returned the call. My choice for 1998 champ is Greg Moore. I also will be looking for Team Green to do some serious damage to Ganassi/Haas/Penske/Hogan and the likes. 1998 should be AWESOME !!! |

I think the reason you see more hits in the off-season is a lack of alternative locations to recieve information about what's going on. There is no weekly TV show (that I know of), no races, etc. I believe alot of people that visit the site during the off-season obtain most of their information about CART, during the season, from TV. There are very few places to obtain information about off-season happenings, with your site being the best, of course. So, no I don't think becoming a rumor mill site will enhance your site at all or generate more hits. (I know, you were just kidding). [I was - but it's kinda frustrating to see the stuff that's easy to do being more popular than the coverage that costs me half a year of sleepless nights, tons of money and only expenses...] |

He should have been disqualified at last years victory over Herta when he decided to take his car off roading, only to crash the poor guy THIS year, who was leading the race, in effort to regain a lap. I can't remember the last time CART rules had to be modified to stop a SINGLE reckless driver, as was the case with the "Two wheels on the track" rule. Not to mention, what is with that lisp? It makes Cindy Brady sound like Pavoratti. Can you stick your tongue out any further? I'm trying to see your tonsels. ANYWAY, there is no doubt that this is the AUTHORITY when it comes to CART news, pictures, events, schedules, frequencies, track info, driver/team info,...hell, everything you need to know about CART is right here. This site has the BEST interaction games around, and I can't wait to participate in Fantasy League 98, as I am confindent it will still be here (pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease). The 98 season is going to see an end to Team Ganassi's dominance, as you'll see more of Zanardi in the wall then ever before (maybe he should stick to racing RVs). The powerhouse to emerge in 98 will be Team Kool Green. By far, they will be a force to recon with. Also, Team Penske, with newly joined Andre Ribero might have a decent shot at that 100th victory, and a possible return of Little Al to victory lane. Assuming Roger makes good with the new car designer. And another thing. To curb all you non-believers, Al Unser is FAR from needing to retire. He is only a year older than Vasser. Until this season, he was the youngest driver in CART history to score a victory (Thanx a lot for ruining that record, Moore.). It's not Unser that needs revamping. It's the car beneath him. Look for him to hit the podium a few times in 98. Our hosts are, well, responsive. Peter Burke may be the most synical person I've ever met, but he is very punctual in returning email (not to mention direct). And then there's Coe, maintainer of the Pick12. Very creative and inspiring, and great compliment to his Speedcenter partner. Suggestions: I can only think of two areas that Speedcenter might wish pursuing: Real Audio and AVi movie clips of races. Maybe putting in some audio of interviews, or some TV announcer's play by play of an exciting finish, pass, or crash. And of course an avi or two of the same. To Peter, I wish you the best of luck in achieving that which you want to achieve with Speedcenter. For the fans and visitors, it would be a great loss if you shut it down.
